Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

This fragment is written in a cursive script (similar e.g. to that of KUB 17.36 and KUB 60.162), with vertical wedges slanting to the left.

Palaeography and orthography: late QA (4′). Among the few fragments attesting the spelling du-uš-ka4-ra-za (Cammarosano 2014: 150, add this occurrence to the list) there is KUB 60.162 obv. 3′, which shows a cursive handwriting very similar to KBo 58.73.
